Ok, gorillas seem to be a recurring theme here. Were they that common in the comics of the era or are most of these from the same issue? Or maybe I simply have a heretofore unrealized sensitivity to gorillas.
Very common and I have no idea why. I guess people just thought gorillas were the scariest thing back then. Not just giant ones like King Kong. There are a ton of old movies with a guy in a gorilla suit chasing people around as one of the big scary monsters.
