A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. A showerthought should offer a unique perspective on an ordinary part of life.

What does that even mean? Consciousness is somewhere in our nervous system. It's not transmitted from some otherworldly place or something
Check out the theory of a noosphere. I think that might be what OP could be referring to. There is a theory that this supposed layer of information is always interacting with us on a quantum level and ideas can just come from the universe itself, or something like that... I've read about it once a while back and just thought it was kind of a cool sci-fi concept.
It's also the basis for the plot in the Stalker games.
Thats amazing! Tell me, where in the nervous system does it reside?!
I already did: somewhere. I guess it's some kind of emergence, you know the saying "the whole is more than the sum of its parts"
That's a theory, no?
And what's your "theory"?
The alternative is mind-body dualism, and it certainly hasn't been proven one way or the other.
I don't have any particularly unique theory.
Me, personally, don't subscribe to any theory other then maybe, I am thinking, so I exist.
And what are you implying in the post?
I'm doing this thing called a thought experiment. It's really fun. Try it sometime.
Oh you may think you're thinking, but can you prove you're not a Boltzmann brain?
