It started being too serious and too 'Star Trek'. Lost a bit of the comedic edge.
At least that's what I remember.
Fuck no.
If you want to complain about it 'losing the comedic edge' that happened almost out of the gate. Literally, the first couple of eps were sleepers to get past fox execs.
Drives me nuts when people go 'it stopped being funny and got political' what exactly about the third ep was funny and non-political?
(Yes, it did have funny moments. But it's not a comedy. It's just very very human)
I cannot recall what the 3rd episode was about. In fact, I can barely recall most of the episodes.
ok, so why comment on something you can barely recall? Makes no sense.
Because from what I can recall it was a funny show that lost it's edge. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Such is life.
I dunno, I have an easier time following star trek. I think this just didnt do a good enough job of world building. The humor felt out of place against the serious tones. It needed to pick a lane and stick with it I reckon.
Nah. It balanced the two beautifully once it found its feet.
Hard to disagree.
