What are your thoughts on this?

For background: This is from a Paramount merchandising video posted in September 2024 (it’s recently been removed from Vimeo). The video seems to be legit as it was uploaded by a profile with the name and profile picture of someone working for Paramount.

These are the seven cards on the slate:

  1. Seasons 2 and 3 of the Netflix live-action series, "greenlit"
  2. Aang: The Last Airbender theatrical movie. They recently filed a copyright for this Aang-focused movie under the title "Lost Realm", it is supposed to release early 2026. Dave Bautista will voice the antagonist.
  3. The slate confirms the long rumored Earth Avatar TV series. There have been pretty detailed rumours and supposed leaks about the plot of this show that supposedly will be titled "Seven Havens". According to the slate it will release after the Aang movie.
  4. a second theatrical film. The concept art of this card shows adult Aang from behind entering an overgrown building.
  5. a brand-new Airbending TV series. The concept art shows an airbending symbol. There have been rumours about this being a show aimed at young kids.
  6. a third theatrical film. The concept art shows adult Aang airbending.
  7. “new content." The card shows the fire emblem. This might be the Saber RPG game "Ice Wars". Or it is simply a placeholder telling markering partners the possibility to create merchandise based on future content.

The video also ends with the title "Avatar Legends", which seems to be what they call the universe to separate it from James Cameron’s Avatar universe.

We could not see it die as an epic series, now we’re living to see it running itself to the ground, a-la Star Wars (or MCU… pick your poison)

Just... ignore it? The "epic series," won't stop existing because new things come out, and those new things don't impact the old in any way.

They reduced the whole mythology to “good spirit fights bad spirit lol” in Korra

I mean, they didn't. But you can still ignore it and just watch the original y'know.
