This is a community in the spirit of "Am I The Asshole" where people can post their own bans from lemmy or reddit or whatever and get some feedback from others whether the ban was justified or not.

Sometimes one just wants to be able to challenge the arguments some mod made and this could be the place for that.

Even though that piece of information can be verified by other credible sources (like NBC News). This is a news post they personally didn't like.

This is not the first time this particular mod, who has self-proclaimed to "hate biggotry" but seems to be more about "love censorship", has done something similar.

In a not so recent changed they removed the ability for everybody to see it and limited it to the ~~masterrace~~ instance admins. But this only applies to lemmy. I should have made the move to mbin a long time ago.

Nope, still right there next to "filter by user" it's "filter by mod".

Has been there for years and never left.

You are looking at it from lemmy.world, which uses a different older version than the ones the devs are pushing out. Check out lemmy.ml and lemm.ee

Why would I do that if it doesn't work?

Like, lots of reasons not to go lemmy.ml, but we're explicitly talking about stuff that happened on world...

It matters because most instance download the dev's version, not just stick to older versions, carefully analyzing them and patching what they see fit.
