I love that Nebula gives creators the ability to experiment. But I do hope that it dawns on people that 3hrs videos doesn't make sense. I mean I seldom want to watch a 3hrs movie, where paying attention at any moment is super important. But here? Paying attention for 3hrs is impossible.
I have some, a decade+ worth of, experience with creating educational materials, amongst it videos. In this field we work on the basis of Cognitive Load Theory (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_load). One of the key concepts that is derived from CL is that people can't pay attention for more than 3 minutes. If you want your audience to actually remember your points, then you have to segment your material.
But back to the point from the video. I deleted my facebook account in the early 2010s. But then I got into politics and thought hey, I guess that I I could spread my ideas on facebook. One year later and all my old classmates had muted me. So I wanted to kill the account again, but then my kids had gotten old enough to attend school and sports, and for some reason facebook is the default community platform for parents.
So I propose another group: the reluctants. They despise the facebook and don't actively use the platform. They want to quit, but they can't because of the platform's impact on their life.
