Who is Saruman? Where is our Gandalf the White? Wait, this won't work...releasing him from the spell just gets a younger more confident Trump, not any Theoden.
For what it's worth, a younger Trump supported the Democrats and most of their causes. But then he got all pissed off when Obama made fun of him at the White House Correspondent's Dinner and his brain turned to even more mush than it was already and boiled with rage, so he decided to abandon every policy the Democrats had, not that he believed in any of it anyway, and join the far right.
No principles whatsoever.
Actually the thing common with trump and muskow, is that they don't believe in any cause, just whatever benefits them personally.
