Damn I'm convinced. Some poc are pieces of shit so we should treat them all like pieces of shit. Thanks for showing me the error of my ways.
That's not at all what the original comment was saying
Please enlighten me because the original comment sounds a lot like racism and yours sounds like a defense for being racist.
To me, it seemed like they were implying that it's dumb to say PoC don't have agency and aren't just as to blame for Trump getting elected as the white people who voted for him.
Everyone who voted for Trump is to blame. Idgaf how much melanin they had, if they voted for him, it's their fault too.
The post is talking about how poc have been treated by the government and the comment sounds exactly like people who say shit like "some people deserve to be slaves" or "who do you think sent the slaves to the new world." If they wanted to say "don't forget that some poc voted for the fascist" they could have just said that. It still would have been tone deaf, at best, but you wouldn't sound like someone making excuses for a racist Internet stranger.
Fair enough. That's definitely my bad.
