I don’t see a mechanism for converting that action to large scale movements
It doesn’t have to be a large scale movement. A couple of copy cats would get things moving.
You can't predict the specific details of small things like individuals and what events will be the flashpoint... We're talking about systems things in the first place so trying to predict the future by working your way back from a nearly certain outcome is just going to lead down infinite rabbit holes.
However that doesn't mean that one of those infinite rabbit holes wasn't the right one - I just think it can't be predicted. Perhaps for 3 Body Problem kind of reasons.
That's the point. The commenter said it is just the start and things will improve without any hints of doubt. It sure would be great but from the part incidents, it is just unlikely. No one can predict the future but imo it is definitely more likely for almost no noticeable impact than the end of entire for-profit medical industry.
