I’m a recently diagnosed type 1. I just got my first continuous glucose monitor about a week ago. I’ve been learning a lot with it, including seeing how many different foods I eat cause my blood sugar to change. One thing I’ve found is that popcorn works quite well to stabilize my blood sugar, particularly when I am in “free fall” from a spike.

What types of food have this effect for you?

Answer from my father:

  1. you need to be experimenting yourself
  2. Avoid fast sugars (ofc). The order in which you eat can have an impact. Start with vegetable and end with the carbs

Hope this helps and good luck
