If you find an injured owl:
Note your exact location so the owl can be released back where it came from. Contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitation specialist to get correct advice and immediate assistance.
Minimize stress for the owl. If you can catch it, toss a towel or sweater over it and get it in a cardboard box or pet carrier. It should have room to be comfortable but not so much it can panic and injure itself. If you can’t catch it, keep people and animals away until help can come.
Do not give food or water! If you feed them the wrong thing or give them water improperly, you can accidentally kill them. It can also cause problems if they require anesthesia once help arrives, complicating procedures and costing valuable time.
If it is a baby owl, and it looks safe and uninjured, leave it be. Time on the ground is part of their growing up. They can fly to some extent and climb trees. If animals or people are nearby, put it up on a branch so it’s safe. If it’s injured, follow the above advice.

We've got a lot of great owls left. The matchmaking this year went a lot better than last year's inaugural run.
I have a feeling how most of the rest of the matches will go, but it all depends on which of you show up in what days to vote. They're all close enough it's anyone's chance still.
GHO vs Burrow I'm hoping will be really good. We haven't had and real back and forth exchanges like last year yet, but as we get closer to the end and the decisions get harder, I hope we get some.
Learning new owls is one of the special parts, so I'm curious to hear which are the best surprises for you.
I'll be looking out for the Buffy vs Saw Wet round in particular to learn a bit more. The latter had a lot of support last year and this year too so interested to see why.
All rounds are a hard choice given how superbowls are! (Dadum-tish)
I thought the barn owl may have won by more in the last round, just goes to show difficult the competition is!
Buffy and Saw Whet are both really great. I won't spoil anything for you.
This year some of the bigger surprises have been which owls aren't getting votes. There's been a few not doing as well as I would have predicted. But I never know who is voting on what days so it's hard to pin down a rhyme or reason.
I'm glad you're enjoying the games though, I know I like doing them!
