The UK has seen a rise in infant mortality, which has been linked to this practice among the Muslim communities in the UK. This is probably what motivates this legislation. It is evidence based.

I'm sure the rise in infant mortality has nothing whatsoever to do with the NHS being underfunded, though.

This is blatant ignorance and misinformation. Infant mortality is and has been decreasing outside the Muslim communities in the UK. The people trying to pass the laws are doing to stop Muslim children dieing.

Not only do children die because of it, they are also more likely to suffer illnesses and disability. Disability that impact their IQ and result in them making comments like yours.
