Place to post and discuss THRASH METAL!
RULES (MUST READ):
- Please keep things relevant to thrash (death thrash, blackened thrash, crossover, speed metal etc. are permitted).
- Please search before posting a song, do not post the same song over and over.
- Friendly debate is encouraged.
- When posting a song use the format of "Band - Song [FFO: band1, band2]". This just helps keep things uniform. The "FFO" (For Fans Of) section is optional. It is for lesser known bands. (Stole this idea from the Death Metal community).
- No racist, sexist, blah blah blah... you get the idea. This is not the place to discuss sensitive matters, after all metal should unite!
- No NSFW content (apart from songs/album covers. If they do include NSFW content, please mark the posts as such).
- Post in English only (obviously you can post songs in different languages).
- But most of all have fun XD.

I could learn a few things from you about keeping an open mind, especially when it comes to this music!
Thanks for the compliment :)
I started out as pure metalhead, but when I got to work in an alternative recordstore, I got confronted with a lot of different music, so I expanded my horizons. I met people who were, for instance, as passionate about reggae as I was about thrash, so that got me searching for the 'core' of a lot of styles. Now I know that there is a 'hardcore' to almost all styles, and it is usually found in the underground of any style, before the commercial versions take over. Ambient or drum'n'bass or techno or afro can be just as hardcore as metal, it just takes time to learn the 'language' of each style to recognize it. But once you get there, it is so rewarding and satisfying to be able to connect and understand so many styles. It's like food: I love pizza, but why limit myself to just eating pizza all my life? There is so much more to taste out there! ;)
