This is the top post on all of Lemmy right now and it's in a .world community.
I think we've all been conditioned to clutch pearls at the news like this.
But ironically Trump has removed any and all decorum. Even when he was shot, people gave no shits, because he's a piece of shit that gives no shits.
So here we are. There's still some that want to "virtue signal" because violence and hate is never the answer! Meanwhile people are being ground into desperation, so your pearl clutching can get fucked.
And the sense of entitlement people on a FREE WEBSITE is ridiculous. How many of the people complaining about .world censorship help pay for the sever?
The positions you take lately, and the arguments you make lately are increasingly disappointing.
No one owes .world anything... If those in control make questionable decisions, they are going to be called out regardless of aggressive moderation, it's all federated, kinda the point.

I don't pay for .world nor it's micromanaging moderators and admins. Never have, never would for such a place.
Next time I get a bit of extra cash I will donate to my instance however.

No one is forcing you to post there and no one is under any obligation to do what you want in terms of server rules. Sorry, .world is not there to cater to you or anyone else in specific. If your instance has different rules, post there and don't bitch about the ones in .world.

You seem to feel like you actually are .world, so go ahead and ban everyone who doesn't bow down to arbitrary garbage. Who says you're not allowed to? Regular users don't have the ability to ban you. But you have the ability to ban users, an ability you abuse regularly with what looks like a pitiable "I am the king of .world" god complex. It's sad that you seem to lack the bandwidth to understand how you as a mod are different to regular users. But it explains a lot.
So I have a "god complex," but I also have more power than regular users and that makes me different from them.
That seems contradictory.
But please do find an example within, say, the last month where I banned someone for doing anything other than violating stated rules in the sidebar or Lemmy ToS. Go for it. This will be like the guy in another thread yesterday who claimed repeatedly that I'm a Zionist and when I asked them to find one single comment where I said anything where I supported Israel they said they were done talking to me.

Isn't it odd how people in random threads repeatedly seem to not like you, because of your moderating? To a degree that your name pops up anytime someone wants an example of a shitty mod? Hey, if you truly are terminally ill in some way, I'm very sorry for that. But also, it's shameful to retreat and hide behind "I'm gonna die in four years, so you're a bad person for calling me out on my bullshit" after you've been chastising people everywhere. Being terminally ill doesn't give people a cart blanche to act in any way they want and not get called out for it. If the discourse on Lemmy is too much, you could also stop being a mod, stop acting holier than thou, or stop using Lemmy altogether and enjoy your time offline. Nah, I don't hate you, you're not significant enough to me to hate. And whether you want to believe it or not, I do feel sorry that human beings are forced to endure hardships that are imposed on them, like a terminal illness for example.
I just find you to be a bit sad and pathetic, completely unrelated to your self declared illness, which I was unaware of until today and which in any case is irrelevant to the conversation at hand. And you just keep finding new ways of validating that assessment.
