What if in this zany world there were no billionaires? Would people still be unhappy with their standard of living? My guess is yes but it's also a catch 22 because billionaires use the sliding scale to minimize wealth for the general populous and maximumize wealth for themselves.
"There would be no incentive for job creators to work! Why do you hate freedom? Sob."
As though they “work” now? (I heard the unwritten /s and just wanted to clarify)
