That post is lemmy in a nutshell.
Don't want to work.
Don't want responsibilities.
Want to feel good about myself, even with no reason to feel good about myself.
"But capitalism and communism and, and, and, I just want free shit and the billionaires are taking it from me!"
Feels like you're being intentionally facetious but yeah I pretty much agree with all that. I think the nuance is that most people don't want to work jobs but would likely occupy themselves with their passions if their basic needs were guaranteed.
David Graeber says that half of all jobs are bullshit and completely unnecessary. I wish we could admit it and move on. Life would be so much more fulfilling if there were only half as much work to do.
