Soulslike - Discussion, News, Memes

This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".

Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.

Basic Lemmy-quette applies. Additionally, since flairs don't exist yet, please do make sure to include a marker to denote what game your post is about in square brackets for clarity's sake. An example could be:

[BB] This enemy is so difficult!

or

[DS1] Anyone struggling with the gargoyles?

Sony are actually the people who dictate that Spiderman remain straight and white though. It's in all of his license agreements. Doesn't have sex under the age of 16, doesn't have sex with anyone under the age of 16, is white, is hetero, doesn't swear over pg-13, symbiote is not peters design, lived/raised in queens, gains powers during high school, and a bunch of other things.

So how did they reconcile Miles Morales?

Wiki says he's an "Alternate Spiderman". Alter Egos have an exception from what I understand. He's from another universe according to Marvel. He's not Peter Parker. It's specifically Peter Parker who must be all these things.

That's interesting. Have they been told by Marvel to make it that way or do Sony hold rights over Spider-Man to an extent where they can dictate his appearances on screen? I remember hearing that Sony kinda owns Spider-Man for the movies or something? Not sure

Honestly, I'm not sure - not a fan, just a dude who picks up on random tidbits of information.
