Seems I missed that, I was just impatient and didn't want to wait for Pam, so I paid for a ticket on the dot at 09:00 and was taken aback by my character driving the bus himself
Isn't the bus only going from 10:00?
On the days Pam takes off, there is a sign in front of the bus, around the middle of it. Those days you can just pay for the bus ticket and your character rides the bus
Haven't really tested it further as I spend too much time doing farm stuff, but if I was able to catch a bus at 09:00 then I can assume that as long as the sign is there you can take the bus anytime.
