Washington is not a solid blue enclave.

Puget sound is for the most part, but drive to the peninsula or east of the mountains and it is a different story.

But it's like almost every city, bright blue progressives surrounded by morons who want to control how you live your life by their standards.

Spokane, you don't like how we live in Seattle? Stay the fuck in Spokane.

I think that's true but even in suburbs of Seattle what you hear around town is pretty 50-50. Maybe just the reds are louder per capita.
