That's very cute of you, but I did say I also love George Takei. I know he has wisdom to share. I just don't think this is useful right now.
So if not tweeting about it, WTF are you expecting from him? Be specific.
Tweeting is fine. Advice in the tweets would be nice. And I'm not expecting anything from him at all. It's good of him to chime in.
Why not?
There is nothing concrete to act upon. "Do something" is too vague.
So you believe it would be better if he didn't write at all unless he has some concrete action points for you?
Not for me. For at least someone.
Thinking about an issue is already an implicit action point that you're forced into by reading about it. Also, it motivates further discussion out of which ideas can emerge. Naming problems is valuable by itself.
That’s what you’re doing here also.
People can do multiple things. Like post and organize mutual aid. Or post and engage in activism. Or write a comment and think.
Ok just not for you, but for others yeah it kind of helps even keep up the spirits so gtfo of the way then cuz you're not helpful nor useful.
