Statutory rape? she was 17 and he was.. 30? Besides, between the two I'm going to assume the law school graduated, 30-year old knew he was plying a much younger, more naive minor for the sake of sex, even if he did pay for it. He knew what he was doing.
He transported a girl from Florida, where age of consent is 18, to Georgia, where age of consent is 16, in order to have sex with her. This is a form of interstate child sex trafficking and is a federal crime. Not going to cite the specific statute because I suspect you aren't asking in good faith.

Which state lines did he cross? Some states bordering Georgia have an age of consent of 18. Being exact about definitions is good, if you've got any sources that would be appreciated. AFAIK details haven't been leaked yet, though I haven't been paying super close attention.
