The U.S. will not change its policy on arms transfers to Israel even though the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip remains dire, the State Department said Tuesday, the deadline the White House set for Israel to ramp up access to aid in the besieged Palestinian enclave.

State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel told reporters the decision came as "Israel has taken a number of steps" outlined in a letter from Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to Israeli counterparts last month. "We continue to be in discussion with Israel about the steps they took and other steps they need to take," he said.

An average of just over 30 trucks a day have been let into Gaza in recent weeks, representing “just over six percent of the daily needs,” according to Philippe Lazzarini, commissioner-general of the United Nations agency assisting Palestinian refugees, UNRWA.

Are you suggesting that if the dems won, they would have stopped the unlimited support for Israel's genocide?

Unless there's a coup in the DNC, we're going to see a repeat of this week in 2026 and 2028.

If the democrats had learned anything at all, they would stop all arms shipments and sanction Israel right now so they can credibly say to voters they want the same things.

I think they're suggesting that, if you think what you're seeing now is "unlimited support," you'll have a pretty shocking 2025. There can't be a repeat in '26 and '28 if there are no Palestinians left.

We had a shitty choice to make, and we chose to accelerate this genocide so we can get on to all the others, but hey...if it teaches a liberal a lesson that's a chance we're willing to take. At least it'll be over for them faster this way.

Every weapon congress allowed, the US sent to Israel, and the US used its standing military to prevent anyone else from stopping Israel. The Biden admin has done literally nothing to limit Israel's genocide and has used the military and diplomatic power to ensure that it continues.

We had a shitty choice to make

We didn't choose shit, the democrats made choices at every opportunity that lowered turnout. Genocide lowers turnout. Saying you're going to appoint republicans to your cabinet lowers turnout. Pledging to shut down the border and build the wall lowers turnout. Means testing all of your campaign promises lowers turnout. Like anyone who's been paying attention, I spent the last 4 years telling anyone who'd listen that if the democrats do this shit, Trump will win in 2024, and now somehow it's everyone's fault except the democrats.
