"Transportation using lightweight vehicles such as bicycles or scooters, especially electric ones that may be borrowed as part of a self-service rental program in which people rent vehicles for short-term use within a town or city.

micromobility is seen as a potential solution to moving people more efficiently around cities"

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

I'm not a cyclist. I grew up in a country where drivers hate them for taking up too much space (no bike lanes, of course).

My question here is fucking why? Why would anyone do something as dangerous and fucked up as this?

Presumably a hunter or nearby property owner that assumes they're the only ones that get a say in how the forest is used.

Still seems very overboard to try and seriously harm someone for cycling in the forest.

Yeah, of course. Whomever did that is completely fucked in the head.

We had someone like this in my city a few years back. He was mentally disabled and genuinely thought he was helping enforce safety issues on the trail. Doesn't make it right, but he needed a good talking to.

I mean, in that case, at least it was a mentally disabled person. There's an understandable explanation for it. Other than that there's very little explanation for something like this.
