This is not the world government Star Trek promised me.
This is not what you want to hear, but even in Star Trek Earth had to go through a third world war, and in the devastation it was really the Vulcans who had to step in and basically played nanny for a generation after they were like "oh fuck no those rednecks have a warp drive?"
I for one welcome our new alien overlords. Please God can they come sooner?
We will get there I promise. Unfortunately it's going to be painful though. The wheat still has the be separated from the chaff. As a species our old habits need to die. Elon represents those old habits of everything bad in humanity.
