I think there's a study where they showed that there's a collection of people who taste broccoli differently.
For me, by itself, it is absolutely terrible. But put it in some melted cheese with some rice and I'm 100% game.
Supertasters, some have an intense aversion to broccoli because of bitterness
Do they hang out with the /cilantro tastes like soap/ crew?
The cilantro thing is because of a specific gene variant (iirc), supertasting is a totally different gene, plus an increased number of taste buds (probably, the research is ongoing). So, they aren't related, but someone may have both.
I am in both of these gangs so I'm gonna say yes
