most grandma of people can use Ubuntu

If and only if it works out of the box. My last attempt at Ubunutu (about a year ago) lasted 20 minutes because it couldn’t connect to the WiFi during setup, claiming a wrong password. Even though the password was 100% correct.

I don’t care if it’s the hardware manufacturer’s fault or driver programmer’s fault or God’s spite. If Ubuntu cannot get these things right, and Windows (or even Linux Mint) can, then Granny won’t use it.

I switched my geriatric mother over to Ubuntu last year. I haven't heard a single complaint from her about any of it.
