These guys it’s both rent and ingredients. They refuse to use shit and would apparently have to charge $14 a pie to keep as is 😿

That's tragic but also understandable. Working in elite food environments and having a partner who was a chef opened my eyes to a lot of things. If the integrity of the ingredients is paramount to you then it's so hard to compromise for the sake of $.

This is true. It costs money to use good and real ingredients.

The other issue is falling real value wages, we get 1/3 in real value of 1970s wages.
