This from the guy leading the "Don't Tread on Me" crowd?

"So many dead from the US Revolutionary War, so much destruction, you can never replace the dead people, so many dead people. Any deal, even the worst deal, would have been better. If the Colonies made a bad deal with the British, it would have been much better, they would have given up a little bit and everybody would be living."

I would say something about the Union making a deal with the CSA, but a scary amount of conservatives think we should've done exactly that.
