Cultists don't get affected by anything they can explain away with plausible deniability, no matter how unlikely. Which is why I think you hate this meme so much. There isn't much to hide behind. Nothing, really. He's a pedophile, but barring a direct quote from him saying on national TV, "Hi, My name is Donald Trump and I raped Katie Johnson, and my daughter too."... you'll deny he is one. Katie Johnson is the 13 year old that tried to sue him in 2016, she said in her deposition that Trump liked her because "she looked like his daughter".

Ignore for a second whether cumfart is a trump sympathiser, you're being presented with reasons why your meme doesn't make sense and, instead of just owning up to it, you're getting yourself all razzed up in some weird defense about why trump is still an asshole.
Just admit that the meme could have been worded better/different whilst also still maintaining that trump is an incestuous goblin man. This way, you come off as a well rounded, mature person who can admit their faults and everyone is more likely to give you the benefit of the doubt when you do make a mistake, rather than seeing this dumpster fire of an exchange.

And I already clarified why I chose the specific phrasing and picture. It's because the only real defense an actual cultist can make is to say it's not as bad as pedophilia because it's just garden variety incest.

The right wing in this country weaponized that word to attack everything from school teachers to trans folk. I wanted to pair quotes and imagery that left absolutely no wriggle room to dispute it, and rub their nose in it.
All the other photos posted? I've seen cultists claim firsthand they're all nothingburgers because it's "just a father showing affection for his child, and you're a sick pedo if you see anything else."
Katie Johnson's lawsuit? "Has he been convicted yet?"
Epstein's Island? "He stopped being friends with him long ago."
Simply put, anything short of direct quotes and photo/video evidence isn't enough to move a Trump supporter.
I want the link of Trump=Pedo paired with irrefutable evidence of his sexual degeneracy and this is as close as I can get until Trump admits he is one in National TV. (Rate he is going I wouldn't be surprised if he did.)

I thought the guy was a proper cultist, (he did a convincing job of cosplaying one) hence that specific comment thread where you see me essentially trying to make him say one bad thing about Donald Trump, and failing.
If he wasn't so stubborn the thread would have been two comments long.
I didn't let him have what he wanted because I didn't want him to leave. If he was a cultist, he would have 'claimed victory' for making me admit the meme doesn't actually depict pedophilia and I wouldn't have had a chance to try to convert him, or at least sow the seeds of doubt. If you read the exchange, you see me going, "baby steps first."
There's no way to dispute he's into incest if you have eyes and ears. Admitting that he is into incest is the first step. You gotta get them to take that step first before you can move onto bigger stuff on shakier evidence.
But he's not! That's great! That's one less cultist to convince to sit home or pull for Harris this November. I also wouldn't have wasted 30 minutes of my time trying to convert one, but I'm just as happy to know he wasn't one in the first place.

You're drawing comparisons between situations that while superficially similar are actually quite different.

I was also around back in 2016. Lemmy is a niche community. I doubt whatever community you were posting that stuff in was all that similar to this one. As this community is full of anarchists, communists, and social outcasts and radicals of various types. Somewhere mainstream like Reddit is very different, and I say this as someone who has spent significant time in both.

I post memes for engagement, and specifically to catch the errant cultist that pops up here and there. I live in Texas where they're pretty big on voter suppression. It takes me between 2~4 hours to vote usually, and I know it doesn't matter for statewide elections. I still vote, but honestly it doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things here. So I figure I'll do my part donating and trying to convert a cultist from voting somewhere else (where it'll matter a bit more) when I feel up to it.
Your opinion pretty much matters zilch to me. I stopped caring about Fartbox the moment I found out he wasn't a cultist. I don't really care about you either.

I don't live in the USA. I don't want trump to win, but ultimately it's not my decision or my problem if he does or not. If you are trying to weasel out trump followers this isn't really the site to do it as I doubt we have even one in this comment section.
Arguing on the Internet with people from your own side is not how you enact polticial change. Actually talking to people in real life and going on protests will get you a lot further, or even just arguing with the right people.
