I didn't see in the article how much advanced time the warning would give. 10 mins vs 1 week would be a major factor in how people respond. As someone that's mostly lived in Florida, I have experience with hurricanes. Usually, most people are somewhat minimally always prepared for a hurricane by having batteries, candles, flashlights, etc., but no one really gets the perishables until 2 days before when the forecast is more certain where the hurricane will hit. Depending on the strength, some people will evacuate too. However, I'm interested in learning how people would prepare for an earthquake 🫨

Maybe teach people how to respond to the warning beforehand. This should have a plan on how government will organize the preparation, should their be an evacuation or whatever else.
