Played about 5 minutes when a friend invited me and uninstalled, thought it might be interesting if the shooting mechanics were tight but it feels like a port of a console shooter to PC circa 2010. Really disappointing this is what we get from Valve.
It's an alpha...
Sure, I get that, and if it was the first game from an indie developer that would make sense, but for a game from Valve who have extensive resources, talent and experience it definitely seems like a poor introduction to the game.
Lame excuse.
AAAAA studios do not get a pass anymore. Billion dollar companies have zero excuses in my eyes. Don't care the company or what they produce. Defending these companies is nothing more then Stockholm syndrome.
Not an excuse... You apparently don't know what alpha is if you think the definition changes based on who makes it. It means you should expect it to be unpolished, full stop. Many major bugs and technical issues define what is called an alpha.
Also, than*
Also I'm not sure how someone who barely plays games has Stockholm syndrome. My only skin in the game here is I think valve is normally decent.
I know exactly what the term alpha SHOULD mean...also beta. These billion dollar companies know too but don't give a rats ass. Stop defending these corporations.
If this was Independent development, I wouldn't even be saying anything. Once a billion dollar company enters the scene, the rules are different. I'm done giving a rats ass about what normal should be with these AAAAASA studios.
Like I said, AAAAA does not get a pass on bullshit anymore. Fuck em
Once again. I'm only telling you what alpha means. Since if you think the context changes that definition, you don't know how the word works. No one is getting a pass. If the game sucked in its final version we all should shit on it. That's not remotely what this is
Also why are people who get so angry about gaming stuff the most hard headed mother fuckers on the planet?
It's... A closed alpha that is getting close to zero publicity. it's na actual alpha as an alpha is intended to be.
If it was pay per entry as all those early access steam games are, sure, but this is an actual closed alpha, for testing bugs and balance.
Bruh it's a free secret game. Valve hasn't even announced that the game exists. This is the period in time when alphas normally happen.
Noooooo Steam only makes great games. How dare you instead Lord GabeN like that.
Shame on you for having a different opinion
I'd love an invite if possible
Can you invite me?
DM me your steam name if you haven't gotten one yet and I'll figure out how to send you one. I'm in it, but I haven't played it yet.
Can you invite me too?
Any chance you have a few to go around?
L take.
145hrs in this game is going to become absolutely massive for valve.
