Oh yeah, "stuffing" is amazing stuff. But you never put it in a turkey. Or, if you must, you make it separately and spoon it into the bird after cooking.

If you really want to put something in a turkey then it should be aromatics and herbs which will add flavor that you dispose of before serving.

Alton Brown's choice of apples, onions, sage, and cinnamon never fails for me
