If someone asks if the light in the room is on or off, do you go on a tangent too?
It's not why or if it's somehow justified, it happened or it didn't happen. No one asked what led to it, or why doing it is okay or not.
Thanks for chiming in!
If the person asking the question already expects a certain answer, then yes, I would go on a tangent so as to go into a discussion where one of us can learn something from it instead of continuing the circle jerk.
