I'm going to withhold judgement at this time; there's a real chance that the motive was something like trying to start a race war. We'll probably know more an a day or so.

Makes more sense than shooting out transformers, like Nazis have been doing for several years: it stands a chance of starting a series of retaliatory killings

Even the failed attack is creating right-wing calls to stop hiring minorities for Secret Service roles
