The alternate plan of a protected lane wasn’t even presented. All this new center bike lane does is risk riders lives and add a few more metered parking spaces. Those parking spaces were, I suspect, the real motivation.

Wow, I thought everyone knew that if you want to add a bike lane, the bike lane needs to be protected.

My first thought looking at the photo: suicide lane.
