Cyanide and Happiness
Hello fellow Cyanide and Happiness fans!
About this community and how I post the comics… Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips. Of course these days you can read your favorite comics online instead of a newspaper, but I love the nostalgia of reading the daily comics. Anyway, one of my favorite current comics is Cyanide and Happiness and I will be posting the daily release from their website (https://explosm.net) and a an extra or two randoms.
Cyanide & Happiness (C&H) is a webcomic created by Rob DenBleyker, Kris Wilson, Dave McElfatrick and Matt Melvin. The comic has been running since 2005 and is published on the website explosm.net along with animated shorts in the same style. Matt Melvin left C&H in 2014, and several other people have contributed to the comic and to the animated shorts… Read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyanide_%26_Happiness
Hope you enjoy and feel free to contribute to the community with art, media, cool stuff about the authors, tattoos, toys and anything else, as long it’s Cyanide and Happiness related!

Youre not gonna find a good lamp that uses Double A. That genie screwed him from the get go! A real lamp uses 18650 batteries.
Holy shit that's a lot of batteries
Ayooo!
HELL YEAH BROTHER
An even realler lamp uses 21700 batteries
I've actually never once seen 21700 batteries in use. All my headlamps, flashlights, devices, battery banks, portable 120v inverter battery bank... All use 18650.
Sure, but 21700 is a superior format. It's barely larger than 18650 but thanks to the square-cube law, the stored energy is significantly higher. 18650 is usually around 3500mAh, whereas 21700 is more like 5000mAh.
Its not superior until its ubiquitous, trust me, im all for higher capacity that sounds awesome. (Minus what happens when they explode) but I've yet to see devices utilizing them. Also means I have to redesign my battery bank, cause 21700 sounds perfect for our battery backup/120v inverter.
Well, this is a post about flashlights, a growing number are using them. And since a type-c charging port is more and common on this type of devices, you don't need to worry too much about how to top them up (though they fit in a bog standard Lii-500 just fine). Anyway i'm not contesting the ubiquity of 18650, I'm just saying 21700 might be the future.
Can you recommend a battery bank (or any other fun devices) that uses 18650s? I have like 20 high end unprotected 18650s and since I don’t use a mech Ecig anymore, only my flashlights use them (my headlamp needs protected batts)
Custom built, Had to 3dprint and design a battery holder (each holds 5 cells) that then goes into a case. Fill it with a battery balancer, inverter, some fans, add some fuses and insert able clips, and you've got a hot swappable battery bank!
Not my own design. I helped a buddy with the 3dprinting aspect of it. Only ever gotten to test it out, but wow is it nice! Great for power tools, lights, or on the go power where there may not be.
Oh nice! I really need to get into 3D printing ad a hobby… That sounds super useful!
I used to work on utilities. Omg a 18650 based lamp is by far amazing compared to standard disposal batteries.
We need a /c/flashlights in lemmy to match the Rs
There is /c/[email protected]
Everyone knows the best lamps are solar powered
It took me a little while to get what you mean, but I love this!
It's a camera that the batteries are for.
Camera's don't get strapped to your head though.
Well duh me, I missed the important fact in that panel completely.
Its okay, I thought it was a camera too at first. Was really confused why they called it a lamp!
