But while schistosomiasis and other diseases caused by helminths mostly affect people in poorer countries, from a livestock standpoint, helminths harm the livelihoods of people in richer countries as well – creating more of a market incentive.

I hadn't even thought of that! Hopefully that can help motivate more research.
