This actually sounds somewhat interesting, I would have preferred HL3, but that ship has sailed.
I don't like that it's just 6v6, IMO 16vs16 would be a better fit for x4 lanes (if not 32 x 32). Think about TF2 and how the team vs team "laning" dynamic works.
Take a look at Abiotic Factor a love letter to Black Mesa in the form of a crafting survival game set in a New Mexico laboratory complex.
I haven't played it yet, but am sold from the LPs I've seen and am waiting for a sale.
Abiotic Factor looks very interesting. Love the HL1 visual style.
I wonder if it's playable solo...
