I would have probably bought it if it were on steam but alas it was not and turned out to be mediocre anyway. Loved the original series

It is on steam but seriously dont buy it spend your money on literally anything else Saints row 2 on GoG works perfectly idk if the steam one does

The PC port unfortunately has horrendous audio quality and has some framerate issues because they coded it specifically for the X360 and PS3. Wish I still had my 360 and that game. The cutscenes were incredible, especially when my character was a fat Asian lady with sideburns, voiced by a British man.

It's available for backwards compatibility for Xbox One, and possibly the Series if you have one of those.

I played Saints Row 2 on Steam and it worked fine, at least on Linux. Likewise for Saints Row: the Third, though the OG one crashed on me but the Remastered was totally fine. Both games are great. SR2 is kind of like GTA SA (but not quite as good imo), and SR3 takes the general concept to the absurd extreme (and apparently SR4 is even more ridiculous).

No, they said: the reboot isn't worth it, get the originals. They work fine and are fun.
