What's lined up for today - or for the weekend then?

For me, on the plus side: pizza tonight.

On the minus side, I just had to update an address, which ended up involving installing an app which PLAYED MUSIC at me in the play store before even installing it. When did that become a thing?? Needless to say, it did not go down well with the SO.

I guess whoever is up earliest on a Thursday gets to make it, and isn't being up really early cause enough for complaint in itself? Hmm, this is far too deep philosophy for so early in the morning.

Anyway. My main complaint this week is that our new neighbours have got a new tiny puppy. It's a little bulldog type thing I believe, but absolutely tiny so even the couple of glimpses I've had of it running around the back garden it's been mostly hidden in the grass.

The complain is not the existence of a new tiny neighbour, it's that I can't think of a not-socially awkward way of meeting it.

I demand to meet the puppy!

Anyway how's your Thursday? Get it all off your chest before the weekend, that's the healthy way.

Morning folks, got up early before work so I could finish off the last episode of Legion.

I absolutely loved this show - the music, the costume design - it did everything right. Favourite parts by far were whenever it had a musical number. So fucking surrreal.

It’s got me super hyped for Noah Hawley’s take on Alien as well. Cannae wait!

Or got any plans for the week?

It was my SO's birthday and she wanted to go to a local transport museum, which was actually great fun riding around the site on trains, trams and trolley buses. A couple of shots of some 1920s trams.

I was always under the impression that on a “normal" 4 exit roundabout (i.e. two roads crossing), you would indicate left if going left, right if going right, and no indication if going straight on. Then whichever way you're going you indicate left when passing the exit before. However, a number of drivers indicate right when going straight on, which means I stop expecting them to continue around but could've entered the roundabout. Am I incorrect here? Was there a time when something different was taught?

We’ve got a bunch and the ones that annoy the weans, like calling Jalapeños Jalpaneros in public, are our favourites.

Something nice and relaxing to look at to help wind down for the weekend. I saw this miniature English Elm on the UK Bonsai Association stand at Hyper Japan Festival today. An interesting cultural crossover.

Yay! It's Friday!

After a week of niceish weather, we await the inevitable rain. But on the plus side, it's almost the weekend!

Personally we are off camping, in doing so encouraging precipitation. But what exciting things do you have planned for the weekend?

I love late evenings at this time of the year. Added benefit because the beach is usually empty around 10pm.

Also saw a Great Heron here’s a shitty picture

The tyranny of Thursday is upon us. Another one of these "not quite the weekend days" that life keeps throwing at us. What has got you fuming on this, the worst day of the week?

Don't use the hump word or it's an instaban! Just kidding, I'm no mod, I'm just some guy, you know.

What games have you been playing this last week? Video games or other. Have you gone back to Tears of the Kingdom yet? Are you spending the rainy school holidays stuck inside playing Pokemon cards with your kids? Found something in the Steam summer sale you want to shout about? Let us know here.

Theyre coming to my area later this year apparently. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on the quality of service?

Also, the Linksys router they provide - can you manage your own DNS? Their documentation isn't clear.

Cheers :)

Morning all. Unsure where to post this, so here I am...

Anyone here on Virgin Media having difficulty accessing Lemmy content (I'm on lemmy.world)?

Started a couple of days ago, tested with my pi-hole off so I know its not that. The only way I can access is mobile data.

Cheers.

Oh hi.

Hopefully our mod is away on holiday and not come a cropper or worse, deserted us. In the meantime, I'm going to take it upon myself to post the "TV and Tunes Tuesday" thread.

What TV shows or movies you been watching this week? Or perhaps you've got some great new music recommendations. Let us know how you've been whiling away the hours and trying to justify all those streaming subscriptions.
