Reddit's moderation teams are so compromised. Hopefully Lemmy offers a space to discuss Skyrim modding without censorship. If you've experienced similar issues with LoreRim or Biggie, please share your story below.

Sharing the full post in case it gets removed (edit: it got removed):

My recent Reddit post exposing unethical practices by LoreRim's curator, Biggie, was removed from both r/skyrim and r/skyrimmods by moderator Crystlazar under false pretenses. The post detailed was as follows:

---

(Update: My original post was removed by r/skyrimmods mods for "inviting drama", but this is about accountability, not gossip. Screenshots and evidence below.)

Let's cut through the gaslighting. Biggie, curator of the LoreRim modlist, is charging $250 via Ko-fi for "commissions" to add mods to his list, yet delivering broken products and silencing any critics from his Discord. Worse, he's scrubbing criticism from YouTube and Reddit.

The Undeath mod (+Classical Lichdom) was added as a $250 commission. According to the mod page, the "Necrotic Rejuvenation" healing feature is a core progression mechanic. But in LoreRim, it is bugged and does not work. There have been multiple complaints on his Discord server about this. When I questioned this, Biggie claimed it was intentionally "disabled" despite giving zero documentation.

Evidence:

  • Screenshots of the Discord exchange (during a timeout period before I was banned).

  • No mention of disabled Necrotic Rejuvenation being a "feature" on Classical Lichdom's Nexus page.

All his sycophants say "Be grateful! It's a free modlist!" But when you charge $250 per mod addition, you're running a business, not a charity. Entire games cost a fraction of that price.

His Discord server and community have a playbook of:

  1. Gaslighting: After I reported the bug, LoreRim's team first claimed it wasn't a bug, then called it a "known bug", and then eventually "intentional" with no proof.

  2. Deflection: Biggie ranted in Discord about all the other Reddit posts, YouTube comments and reviews, all about his behaviour, calling them out as jealous and misconceptions, framing them all as haters and it's to be expected when you get as famous as he seems to think he is.

  3. Censorship: I was banned within minutes of implying it's more likely he doesn't know how to fix the bug, and he instead ripped off the commissioner who spent $250 to get a working implementation of Undeath in his modlist. His cronies piled on, calling me ungrateful for.. *checks notes*.. right, expecting functional paid content.

Now onto the cover-up. My first post here was deleted for "drama". He has some insider with the skyrimmods subreddit. His YouTube followers who previously had comments enabled have changed their commenting rules so that it has to be reviewed first before a comment becomes visible. It's a pattern. Biggie's team is scrubbing critical posts, YouTube comments, and Discord logs to hide his grift. If you're on the LoreRim server, search my username while you still can (wouldn't surprise me if they've doctored any related conversations since my last post).

TL;DR

  • $250 commissions ≠ donations. Biggie is promoting paid modding with zero accountability.

  • Criticism = ban. Biggie's ego can't handle basic questions.

  • Check your receipts. Don't commission. If you do, demand transparency.

Lorerim's creator is exploiting goodwill, then weaponising his mod teams to bury complaints. Share your stories before they're erased too.

(Update #2: This post was temporarily unavailable due to Biggie's team mass reporting to get it taken down. They really don't want this visible to the public, everyone. Please thank the moderators for restoring it.)

(Update #3: Would you believe he actually published a post on his Discord server singling out this very thread, rallying his entire community to brigade it in a blatant attempt to manipulate public perception?)

---

The same moderator who removed the original r/skyrimmods post also intervened in that post, fabricating reasons to delete that post immediately after he was called out here (which he has clearly tried to cover up since the interaction).

After appealing the removal of my post exposing LoreRim's $250 botched commissions (which I'm pretty sure violates Wabbajack's Terms of Service according to some commenters) and Biggie's censorship tactics, the r/skyrim mod team doubled down on suppression. You can see their response to my request for reinstatement here. Both removals were orchestrated by Crystlazar, who dismissed evidence and defended Biggie with unverified claims. The r/skyrim mods falsely accused me of "slander" for simply questioning their impartiality.

I'll reiterate again here what the key issues are that I'm trying to now bring to light for the entire community:

  • Accountability & Transparency: Charging $250 for broken mod integrations is exploitation, not a "service". Biggie's team scrubs criticism from YouTube, Discord, and Reddit.

  • Skyrim Moderators: Crystlazar's biased enforcement suggests coordination with Biggie to silence critics.

Biggie actually replied to my last post calling me a "cry baby" (as he has many others) and my post a "piece of sh*t" for daring to stand up to him in this medium. Do with that as you will.

Skyrim granny retires (www.youtube.com)

TLDW; She's getting tired and doesn't feel like making videos anymore. She also mentions that she's getting eye surgery, but that seems to not be related to her retirement. She'll probably still make a video here and there.

I'm pretty sure this is OC but I can't guarantee I didn't see this meme elsewhere, forget that I saw it, and recreate it accidentally.

Probably nothing new for you all. But I think the Deathbrand Armor without helmet looks amazing. Really like that high collar.

A comparison I typed up 7 years ago that seems to have helped a few people choose between Dawnguard vs Volkihar.

Dawnguard gets:

  • Pet huskies
  • Pet armoured trolls
  • Master Level trainers in Archery, Heavy Armor, Restoration, and Smithing.
  • A couple followers
  • Better crossbows
  • Easier access to Dwarven and Elemental bolts
  • Easier access to the spells Stendarr's Aura and Vampire's Bane
  • Chance to convince Serana to cure her vampirism.
  • Attacked by Volkihar Vampires. (I think) Guards/Citizens will get involved with the fight, risking their own lives to help.

Volkihar gets:

  • Pet death hounds
  • Master Two-Handed trainer and Expert speech trainer
  • Thralls in the castle you can feed on
  • The Ring of the Erudite, Ring of The Beast, Amulet of The Gargoyle, and Amulet of Bats
  • The Bloodstone Chalice, to enhance your vampiric powers
  • A free player home with merchants (the castle itself)
  • The chance to turn your spouse into a vampire
  • Easier access to Necromantic Healing and Heal Undead
  • Attacked by the Danguard in the wild. Guards/citizens won't help with the fight.

Both sides get:

  • Serana as a follower
  • Auriel's Bow and Bloodcursed arrows
  • Access to Vampire Lord form and Bloodcursed Arrows*
  • Durnehviir
  • Radiant quests to kill vampires**
  • As long as Serana is still a vampire ** Yes, Members of Clan Volkihar will request that you go kill vampires. Don't think the Dawnguard are the only ones upset at random vampires attacking towns!

How do you choose to play the game? Do you enjoy questing, or prefer seeing the world and messing around? Do you consider yourself a roleplayer, or are you more "serious" about the game? How vanilla do you like your game? Fresh as a new download, a little bit of QoL, or total overhaul? Cheese or no cheese?

This is my first elder scrolls game so here's my honest thought. I fought the first dragon in Whiterun, then the blood dragons a bunch of times, Durnehviir (he's okay because he can use necromancy) and Naaslaarum and Volslaarum. My question is does their fight gets better or they kinda samey with small differences? For example in monster hunter the raths have the same skeleton 3D build for diablos, yian kut-ku, yian garuga, khezu and etc. but when you fight them it's different. If you fight diablos he's slower because he's heavier and he doesn't have a fire breath attack but he will charge at you. Yian garuga is similar to kut-ku but smarter especially when it use it's peck attack. Khezu has his own unique movement. The dragons in skyrim share the same 3D skeleton structure but all they do is fly, land and fire breath. The hp pool is different from different dragons. It's not a fair comparison to use MH monsters in skyrim because their games are entirely different. But the MH monster fights and their ai makes the game differentiate from each other, even if they share the same 3d skeleton structure.

Edit* Guys after reading your comments well then it's underwhelming. They could have do something about it but they didn't.

The game is too easy to get lost in side adventures. I've sunk a lot of hours just doing my own thing, I forget all about High Hrothgar. Usually it's straight to the thieves guild and then I wander around til something strikes my fancy. That and Dradric Armor. Gotta hit up the College for that. Oh and let's not forget Dawnguard. Gotta go pick up my girl, Serena. Just a good game all around.

I found a easy way to get SKSE for work for Skyrim and Skyrim Special Edition.

Skyrim

Install Skyrim In Steam

Download SKSE

Open the SKSE compressed and extract the contents into your Skyrim directory.

Go into your Skyrim\Data\SKSE folder and create the SKSE.ini file if there isn't one

Open the SKSE.ini and add the following lines of code into the INI and save the changes

[Loader]
RuntimeName=TESV_SKSE.exe

In your Skyrim folder rename the TESV.exe to TESV.exe.bak

Copy the TESV.exe.bak and paste a copy of it into your Skyrim folder and rename it to TESV_SKSE.exe

Copy the skse_loader.exe and paste a copy of it into your Skyrim folder and rename it to TESV.exe

Skyrim Special Edition

Install Skyrim Special Edition In Steam

Download SKSE

Open the SKSE compressed and extract the contents into your Skyrim Special Edition directory.

Go into your Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE folder and create the SKSE.ini file if there isn't one

Open the SKSE.ini and add the following lines of code into the INI and save the changes

[Loader]
RuntimeName=SkyrimSE_SKSE.exe

In your Skyrim Special Edition folder rename the SkyrimSE.exe to SkyrimSE.exe.bak

Copy the SkyrimSE.exe.bak and paste a copy of it into your Skyrim Special Edition folder and rename it to SkyrimSE_SKSE.exe

Copy the skse64_loader.exe and paste a copy of it into your Skyrim Special Edition folder and rename it to SkyrimSE.exe

Enjoy!

I wanted to play some Skyrim. And instead I ended up getting drawn into, well, drawing my current character.

Meet Ahk-li, an Argonian apprentice of the college of Winterhold. Having been born with way too much magicka potential, she ended up learning how to shoot lightning at an early age.

At a certain point she had managed to channel so much of it at once that, one: she discovered Arclight, and two: she ended up with a permanent imprint of the element all across her body. Patterns that start glowing with power the moment she channels even the slightest amount of Magicka, which makes her an admittedly terrible sneaker.

She basically ended up all but blowing herself up with her own magic and only survived due to her as-of-yet undiscovered Dragon blood.

All of that lead to her getting sent to Winterhold for tutelage with a recent ship, as her father had some acquaintance with some of the masters of the college in the past.
