The Bute House Agreement falls. Patrick Harvey may well be resigning today too. Minority government to continue for rest of the term, no sign of a no confidence vote but next budget negotiations to be fraught for sure

Putting the park in national park! Or maybe a terrible idea that will blight Balloch and the surrounding areas.

I suspect there is room for a loch side resort, and a leisure centre, and a hotel. But a waterpark, in Scotland? And a fucking monorail? Someone is off their tits at West Dunbartonshire council. The fact that this is now the third attempt by Flamingo Land in 6 years is batshit insane too: why won't they just fuck off?

BBC article here doing it's best to show why impartiality for the news is insane - nobody likes these proposals, the council is getting no appraisals for this decision. Where is the analysis of why Flamingo land are able to repeatedly abuse pur planning procedures and what are the powers and purposes of The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority. What role does the Scottish Government play in managing our shared ownership parks? This is a huge blow to democracy to see the council approve it too - who makes up this clouncil? Why it's lead by Martin Rooney of Labour, who I just did a quick search on companies house and surprise surprise: he's a developer!

What a fall from grace. A few years ago Aberdeen was keeping up with Edinburgh, now it is bottom in the UK. A lot of people stuck in negative equity I should imagine now

A sensible decision, but what is to be done about rape allegations and the horrible conviction rate?

Creative Scotland has clawed back nearly £68,000 of taxpayers’ cash from a controversial "hardcore" performance piece, MSPs have been told.

The funding agency took action against artist Leonie Rae Gasson after a public outcry over her show Rein.

However, the team behind the work, which aimed to show an "erotic journey through a distinctly Scottish landscape,” has denied ever misleading the funding body,

...

According to its website, Rein was to be a “45 minute, multi-screen, immersive, moving image installation” performed by a mix of “dancers, sex workers, performers".

Audiences would be invited to “come see the Daddies lurking in the woods” and “bare arsed lovers frolicking in long grass” before the climax of the show, “a secret cave sex party featuring a feast” of explicit sexual practices.

3 years already, patience? How about any bloody action? Hawick and Carlisle badly needing this connection and a clear item that the Scottish National Investment Bank should be looking to fund.

We might be living in topsy-turvy world when Murdo Fraser has a point. Honestly, the whole idea of the police keeping "hate" notes on you when you haven't committed a crime is pretty dystopian.

If even the Guardian won't get behind your Hate Crime Act, maybe it's worth having a wee think about it?
