Patch Notes v2.43 (www.rocketleague.com)
submitted 2 months ago by [email protected] to c/rocketleague

Version: Rocket League v2.43

Platforms: Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

Scheduled Release: 9/3/2024, 4 p.m. PDT / 11 p.m. UTC

THE HEADLINES

  • Changes to the Demolition Camera and Audio.

  • We’ll post additional Patch Notes when Season 16 begins on 9/4/2024 at 8 a.m. PDT / 3 p.m. UTC.

CHANGES AND UPDATES

Demolition Camera Changes

  • After a demolition, the camera now flies from where you were demolished to your respawn point.

  • The camera shows your respawn position before your car respawns, giving you a chance to see what’s happening around you before rejoining the match.

    • During this window, you can move the camera around to view your surroundings.
  • Demo Transition Time: Under Settings -> Camera, a new Demo Transition Time setting lets you adjust how fast the camera flies from where you were demolished to your respawn point.

    • Default setting is 0.75 seconds.

    • You can adjust this setting from 0.00 (a snap transition) to 1.00 seconds.

    • A shorter transition time places the camera on your respawn point for longer.

    • A longer transition time gives you a better view of the field before spawning in.

    • Adjusting the slider does not affect how long the demolished state lasts, only when the camera moves.

Demolition Audio

  • Raised the volume of the “ping” noise when a teammate is demolished.

    • Learn more about the demolition audio change we made in v2.40 here.

    • Volume for this audio cue is still tied to the Gameplay slider under Settings -> Audio.

Patch Notes v2.41 (www.rocketleague.com)

Hi there, I have a lot of hours in rocket league and no mechanics to speak off. I want to start improving by improving the most basic "mechanics" which would be ground car and ball control. I am shocked at how bad I am at those and blame it on my age (46) and lack of talent but I think I can still improve.

Do you have any tipps, training packs, videos you would suggest?

I mainly play Twos (D1) and Ones (P1) two improve. I really like Flakes approach to focus on the game rather then on the mechanics, but as I said before I simply lack the consistent basics.

I have the workshop maps, Aim training - by Coco and Noob Dribble by DMC.

I'm interested in knowing some other thoughts of the ban. 1 year for match throwing. I've seen some pros saying that they shouldn't have had to do that, so it's the format's fault.

What do you think?

Is anyone actually enjoying this new casual mode?

24

Not that I'm asking, I just think its funny the game jams all this stuff in my face when its so irrelevant. The only thing I've ever bought was a fennec body and I literally couldn't buy it from psyonox, I had to get it from a trader.

I'll be creating one for GifYourGame, too.
