Why tf is yesterdays discussion blocked?

Gidday team,

I have inherited a watercooled rig from my late father-in-law and the Bykski "B-PMD3-COV" DDC pump on the 7000D distro plate is very rattly at 20% / 1800 RPM (as low as PWM will let it go via Gigabyte X570 BIOs).

I want to replace it with the EKWB EK-Loop DDC 4.2 PWM Motor as this is the only option I have available locally.

I hope that I'll be able to tune down the EKWB pump to below 1800 RPM so it'll be quieter / less rattly. The rig is used mostly for quiet office work and occasional gaming.

Can you please let me know your thoughts on:

• Is this a realistic hope?
• Is this a straightforward task?
• Is there more I need to consider?

I'm currently using a second hand GTX1050ti (Yeah, I know lmao), and the next big games I really want to play are Baldur's gate 3 and Starfield.

My other specs are quite beefy, since this is also my work computer: Ryzen 9 5900X 64GB RAM ddr4

My monitor has a 1080p resolution, with a 60Hz refresh rate and I'm pretty happy gaming with that. Would an rx6700xt suffice? Is it overkill or just barely enough?

I suggest that this community should consider bringing in the "Daily Simple Questions" threads. They were fun to participate and build community. Perhaps make the threads weekly, instead of daily as the community continues to grow with Redfugees.

I only play single player campaings exclusively, I only buy games based on the campaign, I never play multiplayer, not one.

Does high framerate really make for better gameplay in a campaign? Is 120fps noticable over 60?

I play on 60Hz now at ultra. Is 120fps Cyberpunk really a better experience than 60fps Cyberpunk?

I'm finally getting a little bored of my main game, Deep Rock Galactic. I've never touched DF, but it looks intriguing. I'm pretty average at sims. Will I be able to pick up and put down this game as needed? Also, how mouse heavy is it? I like to be able to do keyboard shortcuts whenever possible.

I bought my pc used. And have always kinda noticed my cpu aio coolent (corsair h100i) hitting 60c when playing games. I've ignored it as I haven't played games much till recently. But not taking a closer look. My rear fan has some beefier blades and the two front ones are way more airflow. It seems backwards to me since the front of the case doesn't have a lot of opening and the psu bay is right behind the bottom fan. Should I get a noctua airflow for the back and static pressures for the front?

Edit: Forgot to mention my room's ambient temp is 21c

Also the aio itself is only a year old. And pump speed when gaming is around 2400 rpm

Hey guys, need some help finding a new laptop to replace my old 2018 Razer Blade 1070. Any suggestions?

I've bought an used RX 5600 XT that is arriving this week, this is my first AMD GPU so I'm wondering if there is any setting or app that every AMD user should use. I've heard of "resizeable bar" before but I have no ideia what it is and if I should even mess with it. Are there any AMD users out there that can provide me a "Welcome Tour" to AMD? Thanks in advance.

One quirky detail of my build: it has a tiered storage system through FuzeDrive. What that means is I have an 8 TB shucked hard drive and a 128 GB SSD "fuzed" together through some old software by Enmotus that is no longer available for purchase iirc. This means the SSD acts as a cache for my huge 8 TB drive. As a result, I can just install basically any game I want to my massive 8 TB drive without worrying about space, and if I play that game more than once or twice, it'll automatically move to the SSD portion for faster access.

Some ideas:

• Is this using used hardware that has a story?
• Got an unusual configuration that isn't normally seen (Dual RTX 3070 for example)
• Did you paint it or add special lighting?
