I'm conspiring with special termites to grow a highly valued mushroom species called Termitomyces. It's a fungus that is known to only be cultivated in the wild by termites, who farm the fungus as a food source within their nests. Scientists still don't know how to artificially cultivate the fungus in a lab or grow it agriculturally like most other edible mushrooms. The issue is that the mushroom and the termites are involved in a symbioitic relationship, where one cannot survive without the other, and so, using the natural conditions of my giant rainforest vivarium, I hope to be the first in the world to grow Termitomyces indoors. This is the epic story of how I intend to do it. Hope you enjoy Season 3, Episode 2 of my Ecosystem Vivarium Series. Ant love forever! This video was shot in 4K Ultra HD resolution.

In Episode 139 of the No Limitations podcast Last Man Standing, Blenheim Partners’ Gregory Robinson speaks to Col. Douglas Macgregor (ret.), Former Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Defense.

In a thought-provoking discussion, which will no doubt generate significant debate, Douglas provides a commentary on the state of leadership in the wider world today. He turns to the major flashpoints across the globe, and he assesses the rapidly escalating conflict between Israel and other parties in the Middle East and the Russian war with Ukraine, sharing his perspective as someone who has endured the horrors and futility of war. Douglas also evaluates the likelihood of an act of aggression by China against its immediate neighbours such as Taiwan in the South China Sea. Returning to the United States, Douglas emphasises the need for cultural unity and the successful assimilation of new waves of immigration into mainstream society. He also touches on the need to act decisively to reduce the burgeoning government debt and the possibility of emerging nations embracing bitcoin to curb the influence of the United States dollar.

Douglas was first commissioned into the United States Army in 1976. During his 28 years of service, he was a leader of the 1st Squadron 4th Cavalry, the 1999 Kosovo Air Campaign, the Battle of 73 Easting during the Gulf War, and the offensive into Baghdad in 2002. By the time of his retirement in 2004, Douglas was a decorated veteran with several awards for meritorious service, including the National Defense Service Medal and the Army Commendation Medal. More recently, Douglas was the Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Defense, a position he held until then-President Trump left office. Douglas has written several books on military operations which have been the catalyst for profound changes in defense strategy in the United States and abroad. Douglas has also appeared as a defense analyst on Fox News, CNN, BBC, Sky News and public radio.

Status Coup News is an independent news network that reports ON-THE-GROUND across the country—what we call the United Corporations of America— on the important stories the corporate media exists to COVER UP. Funded by working people, rather than billionaires, we expose and cover corruption, worker exploitation and workers fighting back, protest movements, environmental injustice, and the progressive movement. Our mission is simple: to give the microphone back to the people. Led by veteran independent journalist Jordan Chariton, Status Coup shows up IN THE TRENCHES to put a spotlight on the stories mainstream media ignored and abandoned long ago.

Jordan Chariton sat down with Abdelhalim Abdelrahman, an independent writer and journalist in Dearborn Michigan, to discuss Kamala Harris and her presidential run post-Biden. Kamala seems to be taking similar cues from Biden in regards to the genocide in Gaza, making voting for her from people sympathetic to the Palestinian plight near impossible.

The first-ever shooting competition exclusively for home-assembled firearms—or so-called “ghost guns”—was held in late June at a Florida gun range. These are guns with no serial numbers and thus no easy way for authorities to track down the owner or manufacturer.

The shooting contest was organized by a digital gun building collective called Are We Cool Yet? or AWCY, a group that has been pushing the envelope of what’s possible with 3D-printed arms, including a full-auto submachine gun, a “battle rifle,” and some designs that are totally unique. Today's 3D-printed "ghost guns" can look, feel, and shoot like factory-made weapons.

To meet these gunmakers and get a true sense of what 3D-printed guns are capable of these days, VICE News correspondent Keegan Hamilton decided to enter the shooting contest in Florida—and build his own ghost gun, a 9mm Glock 19 pistol.

A masked Israeli soldier, accused of participating in the rape of a Palestinian prisoner, revealed his identity in a video posted on social media, appealing for support from the Israeli public.

Israeli Channel 12 obtained and broadcast a leaked surveillance video allegedly showing Israeli soldiers sexually assaulting a Palestinian prisoner at the Sde Teiman detention centre in the Negev desert.

Several Israeli soldiers, who were working as guards at the base, are under investigation for the abuse of a Palestinian prisoner.

Vladimir Putin's forces are intensifying their offensive in Kursk as their mission approaches its conclusion. The Russian Air Force has escalated their attacks by deploying FAB-3000 bombs, following the earlier use of FAB-500s. These 3,000 kg bombs were launched from Su-34 multi-role supersonic fighter-bombers, targeting a cluster of Ukrainian personnel and military equipment. The strikes hit a temporary deployment area in the Sumy region, which borders Kursk, causing deadly damage to Ukrainian positions.
