Liftoff!

I've tried force closing the app and clearing cache. No help. The problem happens on every instance.

Hey, I'm on lemmy.zip but I still see lemmy.world in the app first on the list even when i don't have an account there.

I'm wondering if there would be a possibility not to suggest lemmy.world in the menus if I'm already logged in somewhere else c:

Actually, now that I try I can't reply to them from the website either. Maybe it's a lemmy thing?

I love the new tag feature. So far I've seen:

• ADMIN
• BANNED

I'm wondering what that last one means though. Did the person get banned after writing that comment, or is it a warning that they're banned elsewhere? Did I accidentally block a user?

I feel like it's a stupid question, but how do I find and subscribe to a community from within the app?

I personally don't like video autoplay as when you scroll past a video post, it'll pause any audio in the background (at least on android) and can get annoying. A simple toggle would be nice.

Relay has this feature for Reddit. In a thread, if you tap the comment icon on top all the comments will be collapsed except the top level ones. I personally use this on pretty much every single thread. It makes scrolling through a thread much less cluttered and its reads a lot nicer.

I also like that there if you collapse a comment thread, the top comment stays visible. Here it is hidden which doesn't add too much value in my opinion. As long as all the child comments are collapsed the top one could stay visible imo.

Other than that I really like the app so far. Keep up the good work!

Is it possible to have an option to reposition the thumbnails to the left when in compact view and avatars are turned off... It really improves the user experience and post readability/focus ... And all posts without a thumbnail to use a liftoff avatar thumbnail... Example of this UI is in hacki, checkout the screenshot

I commonly listen to audiobooks while browsing. I love that I'm seeing some embedded videos playing. Unfortunately, even though the sound is muted on the video, it auto pauses my audio book. Is there a way to stop that?

I have Jerboa installed also and links open in that from the web browser, I'd rather they opened in Liftoff since it's the one I seem to be using most.

I found the tab where I can see my saved posts, but I don't know how I save posts or how to unsave them. Thanks in advance.

So, I recently attempted to use this cheap little bluetooth keyboard/trackpad combo that I have in conjunction with Liftoff and encountered an issue rendering it essentially unusable. Unfortunately, I don't have any other BT input devices to test with to check if it's just some sort of wonkiness between this particular one and Liftoff, but I did try it with another device and other apps on the same phone without issue, so I'm reasonably sure it's not a hardware problem at least.

At any rate, the issue I'm seeing manifests when you have a textbox selected in Liftoff and attempt to input text via a bluetooth keyboard - Every keystroke appears to try to close the on-screen keyboard, which the Liftoff app apparently isn't cool at all with, as it immediately tries to reopen it again. This causes the screen to bounce up and down like crazy, which could still be workable (assuming a sufficient level of confidence in your typistry) if it didn't also cause things to bog down and lose the odd character here and there, as well.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Or perhaps have a fix even? Cuz I've kinda reached the bounds of my troubleshooting expertise as far as bluetooth and bluetooth accessories are concerned and I'm out of ideas.

Hi, If I have for example subscribed feed of lemmy.world, and then click to all of everything, then it will switch to subcribed of everything. If I click again, it will finally accept all of everything.

Not a big deal, but I just noticed it.

This would be a good way to subtly "remind" the user which account they're currently using/logged in as.

This would basically involve either (a) moving the "primary color" widget from the "appearance" section to the "account detail" page; or (b) making the "primary color" widget into a sub-section of its own, and where each account is listed.

I don't know if this is my understanding or an issue.

My main account is .world.

I subscribed to an instance that is federated, and have since unsubscribed and removed the instance and associated account from my Liftoff Accounts by long pressing and selecting delete.

Posts from the instance still appear in Everything > Subscribed. Is this working as designed or a bug?

I think the login page text boxes are tagged wrong or something as they don't show up as autofillable with Gboard and bitwarden,

also the password field isn't a password field

edit: only seems to not work immediately after adding an instance for some reason, if I back out to the main page it then works

I'd be nice if when I back out of a post, if I re-enter the post, I am brought to the same "scroll position" that I was at previously.

This doesn't need to be for every post I open, just the last.

Sync for Reddit used to have this and it was useful of I clicked the back button by accident, I wouldn't need to try to find where I left off.

I'm not really sure what its called but I think it might be the only reason I use Jeroba as much as I do.

Today's re-design makes the app feel much more cozy than Jeroba though 😁 Really love where this project is heading. The first to offer MP4 support on Lemmy as far as I know!

As a lefty, it's far easier to tap thumbnails when they are on the left side. Any chance we can get an option to move them to that side?

This is the only reason I'm still using other app other than Liftoff. The pictures in card view are very useful for videos and articles links and made the navigation more comfortable.

Sorting comments in a post (Hot, New, Old, Top) seems to be broken. None of the options can rank the most upvoted comments on top.

Currently I have to use lemmy in my browser to access mod tools. Will these be brought to Liftoff?
