In September 2020, hololive production launched its first English gen, hololive Myth. Four year later, the members came together to celebrate their anniversary once more. Takanashi Kiara — alongside Mori Calliope, Gawr Gura, Ninomae Ina’nis, and Amelia Watson — set the foundations for the VTuber industry to come.

Model makers, riggers, musicians, artists, and all others involved in the making of vtuber shows are all carefully credited, since it would obviously be reprehensible not to do so, but the actual performer that portrays the Idol goes entirely uncredited. The performers are all experienced entertainment industry professionals, Hololive does not and has never contracted unproven talent. Most of them have IMDB pages but universally their biggest and most prestigious work is not listed there, because Hololive forbids it.

When Rebecca Cardenas went independent as Dooby one of the very first things she did was make her identity public specifically to take credit for some previous work she's done. But even after going independent she is still seemingly contractually prohibited from taking credit for portraying Ame, something that might actually be illegal in my opinion. Rebecca should be able to list her time portraying Amelia Watson as part of her professional work experience.

I am not saying that all the talent should be forced to make their identities public, rather I think they should be credited by a name which they control. For example, the performer portraying Takanashi Kiara does not own that name and could not use that name when doing other work, but she does own the name Keekihime. So while some talent, like Karen Calanni playing Mori Calliope, would want to be credited by their real name, others, like Keekihime, might rather be credited by a stage name. The important part being that they control the name themselves and can use it as they wish.

Hololive refusing to credit the performers unfairly shackles them to the company and inhibits their professional careers, and that's messed up

I saw Nerissa at a local KFP store yesterday. I told her how cool it was to meet her in person, but I didn’t want to be annoying and bother her and ask her to do "ara-aras" or anything.
She said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but she kept cutting me off and going “Ope? Ope? Ope?” and unbuttoning her shirt in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my meal order, and I heard her starting to sniffle like a wet cat as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw her trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen hamburgers in her hands without paying.
The orange-haired girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Entschuldigen Sie, Ma'am, you need to pay for those first.” At first she kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the hamburgers and started scanning it multiple times, she stopped her and told her to remove the top bun from each individually “to prevent any culinary infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each burger and put them in a bag and started to say the price, she kept interrupting her by complaining about "how you cant get any Culvers here" really loudly.

During a period of 2+ years, Cover:

• Made contractors do extra work (e.g., extra revisions), without sufficient justification (as per contract terms), without providing additional payment for that extra work.
• Had late payments, including some payments late by over 300 days (!!).

In response to the guidance received from the Japan Fair Trade Commission, Cover:

• Will cease their heinous criminal activity and follow the rules now.
• Has resolved late payments, with interest.
• Will attempt to rectify processes / training / etc that lead to the situation happening.
• Will check if there are any other oopsies.
• Will tell everyone they fucked up and what they've done about it.
• Will report back to the Commission.

We have recently received a number of reports that our talents are being impersonated (including the spreading of false statements and misinformation) and experiencing intrusive behavior such as malicious language and behavior (including through billing functions on all platforms) on talents’ streams as well as being subject to potential abusive behavior and harassment such as slander, defamation, threats, and persistent stalking primarily on social media.

• Skills have been changed. Virtual Diva has been changed to Virtual Saber, and Performance has been changed to Geographer.

AME

• Skill name of FPS Mastery has been changed to "The Ame Way". EFfect has also been adjusted. Note: Previously, FPS Mastery's text stated "All weapons deal 15% more damage", when in reality it increased ATK by 15%. The text has been corrected, and this effect is unchanged.

ANYA

• Cutting Deep has been replaced with Debugger with an adjusted effect.

AKI

• Aromatherapy now can also stun targets as an added effect.
• Damage of Mukirose has been increased slightly.
• New effect has been added to Belly Dancing.

BAE

• Skill name of "CRATical Hit" has been changed to "Rat's Ninja Way". Skill icon has been changed.
• Skill name of "RatNG" has been changed to "Harbinger of Chaos".
• Skill effect has been adjusted and a new effect has been added to "Harbinger of Chaos".

MATSURI

• Bonus buff for perfecting the Taiko Drum sequence has been extended by 5 seconds. Bonus buffs also increased slightly.
• Damage for Fireworks from perfecting the Taiko Drum sequence has been increased.

SHION

• Damage of Special attack is increased from 1000% to 1500%.

OKAYU
