It's campaign finance violations, not an affair.
Thank you.. I blame the media for this. Every article and talking head referred to it as the "hush money case" instead of "campaign finance fraud."
Hey exhausted lemming! I get you. I really do. But try and look at it this way. Two years ago I would have said he would never be charged with a crime. A year ago I would have said he'd never see a court room. And yesterday, I was convinced that one MAGA in the jury would be enough to get a hung jury. But here we are. So I'll be very surprised if Trump sees a single day in jail, but I've gone from pessimistic depression to cautious optimism. I hope you get some relief, too.
This isn't the comfort you think it is. If the bombs light up my horizon, I won't be thinking "well, at least some remote tribe might continue a stone age humanity" while my entire family is consumed in a nuclear fire.
Progressives are the easiest vote to disenfranchise. All it takes is one wedge issue, and they are out.
And then you have the corollary on the other side - for some on the far right, all it takes is one wedge issue to drive them in. Gun control, abortion, etc. I think that's why we have to have an uphill battle every four years.
