I also gotta shout out the creator of this cross stitch pattern, Studio Ansitru! This is not my playlist nor my picture, but I've stitched some of Ansitru's patterns before.

Damn well I’m glad I got the XM4 then. They were so highly recommended everywhere I read about them online, and I think they mostly live up to the hype.

My Sony headphones for sure. I have the WH-1000XM4. I’m sure there’s something better out there but I’m not enough of an audiophile to know, lol. As bluetooth headphones go, they’re pretty solid.

You and your daughter are both so talented!

P.S. I tried to listen to Such Wonder and I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong but it wouldn’t let me listen on Spotify or Qobuz. On Spotify it’s grayed out, on Qobuz I got an error msg. It could just be my phone but I thought I’d say something in case it’s a larger issue.

My favorite part:

"I am sure some in our audience have questions for our various experts up on stage?" Ms Voigtschild said after the mud was found. There were none.

Jaws by Dizzy

It’s off their new album. The lead singer said this about the subject matter: “‘Jaws’ is a song about the expectations that come along with adulthood: marriage, buying a home, having kids, white picket fences. I have to wonder if we all truly want those things or if we follow suit out of fear and peer pressure."

For me, it makes me think about the overall experience of being female and the expectations and pressures that come along with that.

Welp, TIL that some absolute classics came out in 1993! Hard to choose, but I’m gonna have to say Creep by Radiohead.

I love her work so much.

Thanks for the rec! I’m not looking for anything too incredibly detailed, just a teensy bit more in depth than the videos I had been watching. I’ll give SciShow a try!

This is great, thanks! Lots of good stuff to read here.

Oh, how relevant! Thank you!

Just watched it today for the first time. I've been sort of a casual Fall Out Boy fan over the years so I didn't know much about their writing process before watching this interview. I find it fascinating how Patrick and Pete work together. Also, their reflection on experiencing fame in the 2000s and how they each handled that was so interesting.

Hot Girl Strummer (open.spotify.com)

Acoustic/stripped down stuff with a focus on guitar and sometimes other stringy instruments (ukelele, mandolin, banjo)

I have a pretty wide variety of artists on here, but it's a work in progress. Enjoy!

Surrogate has been one of my favorite bands for close to 15 years now. I just noticed that they have less than 1k monthly listeners on Spotify and figured I would get up on my soapbox to share them here.

If you want to get a sense of their range, here are a few songs I would recommend as a primer:

Post-Heroic (from Post-Heroic)

Stay Out of the Sun (from Love Is For The Rich)

State of Jefferson (from Popular Mechanics)

The Devil Gets What He Wants Sometimes (from Popular Mechanics)

Battleground, Washington (from Post-Heroic)

For exchristians, exvangelicals, and folks questioning their faith.

The tracks are in no particular order because I’m not that fancy. I have them sorted by artist because that’s easiest for me, but I’d say just throw it on shuffle!
