The sky looking better is just one thing. No more blackouts when there’s winds or thunderstorms or just stray branches is the real perk.

Interestingly, underground lines aren't feasible in my hometown because of how close the water table is to the surface.

I’m 4 meters below sea level. We don’t have basements because the buoyancy of the empty space would cause the houses to literally float on ground water. But we do have buried power lines.

You are being lied to.

Overhead transmission lines are so 1950s.

Invest in your country.

There are objects that are iterable, can be empty and have no length.

Where is your god now?

Ngl the juxtaposition between “Pliny” and “Taco Bob” has me in stitches.

You are a pro cat namer.

Pliny is the one that’s supposed to travel, and then send you letters which range from “I saw a mountain just explode, yo” to “did you know aqueducts are like freakishly expensive” depending on whether he’s the older or the younger one.

Who knows! But I do reject the claim that you can’t be a leftist unless you engage in political violence.

This is a very old controversy in Marxist circles, and it has been known to result in people getting shot. Make of that what you will.

BUT PEOPLE THOUGHT THE EARTH WAS FLAT!!!!!!

(EDIT: I figured people world know, since it was posted in a history community, but no, people didn’t think the earth was flat. Eratosthenes had measured the circumference of the earth to a reasonable degree of approximation in the 3rd century BC. Even in medieval Europe, people that cared, knew)

My man. I’ve been playing games for 40. But I don’t identify as “a gamer” because, yeah, that.

Anyway, yes, the words you choose convey meaning. Pick the ones that convey the meaning you want, or live with the meaning you convey.

I’m a gamer

Yeah, saw that one coming.

Anyway, you can say “female” as an adjective all day. It’s the noun that has really icky nonhuman connotations.
